Bluegrass band Local Freight features clean harmonies, strong pickin’, and a solid groove. Seasoned musicians John Tibert (mandolin/vocals), Lynne Fountain (bass/vocals), and Rich Piccarreto (guitar/vocals) bring their varied musical backgrounds together on original songs and bluegrass classics alike, crafting a fresh, original sound, with solid traditional underpinnings.
Common threads entwined to bring this project together: a love for the music, and chance meetings at area jams and festivals that became friendships, and musical collaboration. Now in its 9th year, the band has demonstrated its experience and versatility at shows ranging from harvest and farm days, to weddings, nightclubs, coffeehouses, corporate events, private parties, and various New England area festivals and fundraisers. We look forward to playing your venue/event!
In September, our longtime banjo player Brian Prindle moved to Nashville. While we miss him for sure, we are excited to see him following his dreams and wish him well! While searching for his replacement, we have been enjoying playing as a trio, and adding in talented friends as needed on banjo/fiddle. Stay tuned for new developments!
